Anthropologie: Paris Chic.

Okay, I have no valid excuse for the time between this post and my last besides the fact that I have had midterms and have been quite sick for two weeks now. Excuses aside, I should have been posting. So, here it goes again.

A few weeks ago I got the new fall Anthro catalogue. After drooling over its pages, I went back through and came up with a few favourite pieces from the collection.

I am in love with this sweater. It also comes in beige and white, but I am forever in love with a good black and white pairing.

I hope to have another post up within the next couple of days since I do not have that many classes this week.

Until next time, enjoy life and stay warm if you live in the Midwest. xx

Wishlist Wednesday.

Today has been a day of browsing. I always scan through magazines before I actually reed the content. I quickly scan over every page before snuggling up with a cup of Yorkshire tea, wrapped in a blanket, as I take the afternoon to immerse myself in a copy of Vogue.

I spent a good hour scanning through the October issues of Vogue and Nylon.*   I also took a good portion of time to go through a few blogs I follow and scan their newest posts. (My Bloglovin’ dashboard is very full right now and that needs to be fixed . . . I just have to find the time).

Here are a few of my favourite finds:

Daniel Wellington Watch

This skirt is from the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection at Target this fall.

Matt Bernson 'Gauloise' Flat

*The only reason I snagged a copy of Nylon was because Alexa Chung was on the cover. Overall: good choice.

Most days when I wake up, my thoughts go as follows:

  • Is it really time to get up?
  • Did I have any homework due today?
  • I wonder if my hair is going to cooperate with me today . . .
  • What should I wear today?
  • Wait . . . what is the weather like?
  • Do I have to dress up for anything?
  • Wait . . . who am I kidding . . . I dress up even if I don’t have to.
  • I don’t want to get out of bed . . . it’s cold out there . . .
  • Don’t make me leave the warmth of my blankets!

Once I finally get up, I stumble over to my closet. Stare at it blankly then shuffle over to my dresser. Eventually I find something to put on my body. Being tired and indecisive does not make getting dressed in the morning an easy task, but it usually turns out all right.

Business Casual.

I was walking to class the other morning when I ran into another friend of mine who was in the same class. She was wearing a dress and I was wearing tapered trousers and heels. We had presented a case study the week before, but we were still “dressed up.”

The day before, I was wearing this outfit, which included a skirt and heels. Some weeks, I want to feel like I’m out of university and in the working world . . . just a few more months.

TGIF . . . but too bad I can’t afford these things.

Happy Friday! Yesterday I found out my university has blocked Vogue.co.uk, so I am currently trying to figure out the next best way to get my pictures from various shows from LFW, Milan, and then Paris. (Any suggestions would be much appreciated, or I may be even more behind on posting and I may be making quite a few trips to Starbucks within the next couple of weeks.
Here are just a few of my favourite things currently. I can’t get away from black and grey . . . still. I’m addicted to neutrals and I have no shame.
Anyone have any weekend plans? Who is loving Milan Fashion Week?

Rest of NYFW. [10.9.2013-12.9.2013]

And here are the rest of my favourites from New York Fashion Week.

And now I shall jet over to London (unfortunately, just metaphorically) to cover the rest of LFW. I have to catch up before PFW . . .

Stay tuned for the rest of NYFW and LFW. I will catch up. I promise! I am currently drooling over the Topshop Unique show.

Honor [NYFW].

I am slowly catching up on my Fashion Week posts. If I didn’t have classes for the next few weeks, my time would be completely devoted to following every single show I could get my hands on (since I can’t transport myself to NYC . . .or London . . . or Paris) and the occasional break to make some food.

Since I do have classes and [unfortunately] I am not able to do that.

Anyways, here are a few pieces from the Honor S/S 14 collection.

Giovanna Randall said, “This season was about developing my dark edge.” Dark patterns mixed with vibrant ones, as well as some sheer fabric and lace with embellishments and sequins to add femininity and depth to her pieces.

NYFW BCBG Style.

I am quite sad I am not in New York currently for Fashion Week. Because I am stuck in the middle of cornfields in Indiana instead, I have been drooling over the various shows I have been watching in the student union between classes this week. Here are just a few of the pieces from the S/S 14 BCBG collection.

Summer Celeb Looks.

Whether it be premiers, tv appearances, or seen out in public doing their own thing, celebrities have the opportunity to make a statement with their wardrobe. Whether or not they should be made into fashion icons is not the question here. These people have been given the spotlight so why not use it to make a name for yourself through fashion as well as whatever else you are known for.

Models, singers, actresses . . . There are a few that have been recently popping up on my fashion radar (some always do . . . *cough, cough* Cara and Rita).

Cara Delevingne at Glastonbury 2013

Rita Ora at Glastonbury 2013

Lily Collins at GMA August
