I have a bit of an obsession with Pantone. My latest phone case was a Pantone chip. When I worked at J.Crew this winter I tried not to obsess over this water bottle that had Pantone chips all over it that someone kept in the back room.
My obsession is well-known (which can be kind of embarrassing) but good as well. One of the gifts I received for Christmas this year was the book PANTONE on Fashion: A Century of Color in Design. I have yet to read the entire thing, but I have skimmed everything.
Around the same time, I found out this year’s color. Unlike last year, Marsala is, well, less radiant than Radiant Orchid. I tend to gravitate toward jewel tones if I include any color at all in an outfit, so Marsala is a much more realistic color for me to integrate into my wardrobe this year than Radiant Orchid was last.
